Justice Program Governance Overview (Downloadable Document)
This document provides a clear, governance-level overview of our justice program model, including how the program is delivered in custody and how it can continue post-release where feasible. It is designed for corrections and justice stakeholders, partner organisations, and community services seeking role clarity, delivery structure, and clear program boundaries.

The overview is structured in four parts:

Part 1 — Scope and Program Positioning
What the program is, what it is not, voluntariness, and documentation boundaries.
Part 2 — Program Architecture and Delivery Model
Group and individual formats, session structure, and phased throughcare sequencing.
Part 3 — Practice Model, Professional Boundaries and Credentialing
Definitions of psychoeducation, AOD counselling, creative psychoeducation methods, and scope limits.
Part 4 — Governance, Risk Management and Information Framework
Escalation pathways, information handling, cultural safety commitments, staffing considerations, and continuous improvement.

Reflections

With gratitude and admiration to Duan from V. Thank you for all of your knowledge, accomplishments and charm. This really has given me so much joy, strategies and self growth. I am forever grateful that our paths crossed, you'll never know how your talks and presence has helped better me.

Working with Duan has been really good. He makes the content easy to understand, he's very passionate about what he teaches us. Having lived experience in every thing that he brings to the groups helps make it comfortable and shows that all the hard work you do really pays off. I would highly recommend 3rd Mind to everyone. I enjoyed every minute of the groups and I definitely will use everything that I have learnt to help me when I am out.

I really look forward to the group sessions and one-on-ones with Duan because he challenges me on a lot of things no one usually recognises. His programs are interesting, plus full-on which is refreshing. I am glad I got the chance to meet and do all these programs with him.
